Welcome to the May edition of the 40th Military Police Company
Family Readiness Newsletter!
Summer is fast approaching. California weather has been beautiful
and I still love being your Family Readiness Leader. I am always
ready to help, so please do not ever hesitate to contact me for
whatever you need.
Happy to say that the 40th Military Police Company still continues
to train heavily, to be ready and serve not only California but
our country! The unit has been really busy and has sacrificed
a lot.
Big "shout out" to all that have recently been promoted.
A promotion is something that every Soldier thrives for and works
towards, so congratulations!
To all that have a birthday this month: Happy Birthday! Three
candles on your cake: health, wealth and happiness! If you have

The 49th MP Brigade Sentinel Ball on April 14th was a great night,
along with a weekend-long training for Commanders and Family Readiness
Leaders. I, unfortunately, did not attend. I understand that many
others could not attend either, but maybe next year will be a
better time for all to be together and enjoy the fun. Captain
Harris, First Sergeant Rodriguez and Staff Sergeant Bonilla attended
the training and the Sentinel Ball. I hope to have pictures soon
so that I can post them for all to see.
I am happy to announce that a generous donation of baby blankets
has been donated to the 40th MP Families. I will be organizing
all of them so that I can distribute them to whoever wants them.

Be sure to check out the California National Guard's Work for
Warriors Facebook page. The Work for Warriors program is a newly
established employment initiative, on behalf of the California
Military Department. This unique initiative will partner the California
National Guard's Work for Warriors team and community partners,
in seeking full time employment opportunities for our unemployed
members of the California National Guard.
