The Military Police Corps has four career paths within the Army: 31A Military
Police Officer; 31B Military Police; 31D Criminal Investigations Special Agent
and 31E Internment/Resettlement Specialist.*

| Since the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and
the Pentagon, the United States has launched three major military operations:
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and
Operation Noble Eagle (ONE) Operation Iraqi Freedom includes the invasion of Iraq, the defeat of Saddam Husseins regime, and the subsequent peacekeeping, rebuilding, and counter-insurgency operations in Iraq. Operation Enduring Freedom includes ongoing operations in Afghanistan, operations against terrorists in other countries, and training assistance to foreign militaries which are conducting operations against terrorists. Operation Noble Eagle is the name given to military operations related to homeland security1 and support to federal, state, and local agencies2 in the wake of the September 11th attacks.** |
